Syntronic-scan automatic 2026 – Hero@4x copy

In October, Syntronic exhibited at Scanautomatic in Gothenburg, Sweden. The event brought together professionals from across the industrial automation sector, giving our team the opportunity to meet potential customers, discuss technical challenges and demonstrate our engineering capabilities.

The exhibition was a success for Syntronic, with strong interest in our live demonstration and promising business opportunities across several industries.

Key takeaways from Scanautomatic 2026

  • Precision measurement: Our vision and laser measurement system demonstrates inspection capabilities with tolerances of ±0.025 mm
  • Automated quality inspection: Syntronic develops inspection systems for applications such as weld verification in automotive production
  • Industry-specific solutions: Our projects span industrial manufacturing, automotive applications and medical technology, with each system developed to meet specific technical requirements

Addressing real challenges in production

Manufacturers face growing demands for consistent product quality and reliable production processes. Automated inspection can help meet these demands by identifying deviations during production and providing accurate measurement data for quality control.

These topics were relevant throughout Scanautomatic 2026, where automation, AI and smarter production featured prominently. For Syntronic, the exhibition was an opportunity to discuss how engineering and specialized inspection technology can help companies address challenges in their own production environments.

Our team had valuable conversations with companies across several industries, including industrial manufacturing, Medtech and Biotech. The range of discussions also highlighted the potential for Syntronic's expertise to be applied beyond a single industry.

Live demonstration of vision and laser measurement

A highlight at our booth was a live demonstration of our vision and laser measurement technology. Many visitors stopped to see the system in action and learn more about its applications. The technology combines machine vision with precision laser measurement to inspect components and identify deviations. In one of Syntronic's reference projects, a dual-sided system measures weld geometry and surrounding surface conditions, achieving measurement tolerances of ±0.025 mm.

Accurate, repeatable measurements can help manufacturers detect deviations earlier and reduce the need for manual inspection. Integrated into a production process, these systems can also provide valuable feedback for quality assurance.

Syntronic has developed inspection solutions for other demanding applications as well. These include an ultrasonic weld inspection system for automotive rear axles and a vision-based system for verifying chip welding. Each project addresses specific requirements, from inspecting weld integrity to verifying precision assembly.

Looking ahead

Our first Scanautomatic exhibition gave us the chance to meet new contacts, exchange ideas and explore potential collaborations. The interest in our demonstration and the conversations throughout the event made it a valuable few days for the team.

Thank you to everyone who visited our booth!
