Visit from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia at Syntronic’s lab in Gävle
The global engineering design house Syntronic was honoured to welcome a delegation from Indonesia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Embassy to its headquarters in Gävle today. The delegation had the opportunity to visit one of northern Europe’s most technologically advanced labs and discuss cooperation plans.
A dialogue on collaborations related to technological development, sustainability, and the global supply chain was on the agenda when the high-level delegation led by His Excellency I Gede Ngurah Swajaya, Director General of the American and European Affairs at the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, visited Syntronic on Thursday.
“It was a fruitful visit. Syntronic is a leading R&D group that believes in Indonesia’s journey towards being a society characterized by research and development, through tools such as innovative 5G technology. It is also positive that Syntronic expands into the global supply chain since it corresponds with Indonesia’s plans. We look forward to a strong collaboration with Syntronic.”

The Indonesian Ambassador to Sweden, His Excellency Kamapradipta Isnomo and Mr. Akbar Makarti, First Secretary Economic Affairs at the Indonesian Embassy, also formed part of the delegation. The delegation was welcomed by Mr. Björn Jansson, CEO of Syntronic Group, Mr. Stefan Sundin, Managing Director of Syntronic Aftermarket Services and Mr. Victor Jansson, Site Manager Syntronic Stockholm.
“As a global engineering design house present in eight nations, it is important for us to make a positive impact and be committed to the countries that we are active in. In Indonesia, we are honoured to participate in forums for infrastructure development, telecommunications, and sustainability. We are pleased that the delegation from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs was inspired by our labs and our commitment.”

Sustainability panel and employment creation
Syntronic established a presence in Indonesia in 2010 and has contributed to employment creation in the country since then. The company’s focus on Indonesia grew stronger in 2021, when its aftermarket center in Jakarta began to process global repair volumes.
In February this year, Syntronic participated in a forum centred around the infrastructural project to relocate Indonesia’s capital from Jakarta to the province of East Kalimantan on Borneo. The global engineering firm also has a strong commitment to sustainability. In December, Syntronic was elected to the international sustainability panel during Sweden-Indonesia Sustainability Partnership Week.
Today’s exchange in Gävle forms part of a long-term collaboration. Earlier this year, a delegation led by Indonesia’s Ambassador to Sweden, His Excellency Kamapradipta Isnomo, visited Syntronic’s premises in Kista Science City.
