Sandviken IF Framsteget

Syntronic is stepping in as a partner to support sports association Sandviken IF’s social inclusion project Framsteget. Framsteget, a project named after the Swedish word for “progress”, aims at combating social exclusion, encouraging integration, and promoting wellbeing.

In the context of the project, people of all ages and from all walks of life have the opportunity to take part in healthy, fun, and meaningful activities centred around sports and socialization.

Equality and good values

One of the programmes that are conducted in the context of the project is Night-time Football (“Nattfotboll”). Nattfotboll is not merely about playing football – it is also about creating a social hub where people can come together.

As a part of the Nattfotboll sessions, Sandviken IF offers "No More Macho" training to both players and those who attend for socializing. The training is designed to address issues related to macho attitudes in society and to promote gender equality, through film screenings and discussions that shed light on these important topics.

The Nattfotboll programme is an integral part of the Goodsports initiative, which aims at facilitating the integration of children, youth, and adults into the local community.

To ensure that economic barriers do not hinder participation, all activities that form part of Framsteget are free of charge for everyone who participates – something which is made possible thanks to the partnership programme.

"Our support to Framsteget aligns with our commitment to social responsibility. We believe that participation in meaningful and healthy activities can have positive long-term effects for people on many levels. We look forward to supporting Sandviken IF’s important work as an official partner”, says Björn Jansson, Founder and CEO of Syntronic Group.

Sports, socialization, and support

Through Framsteget, a wide range of activities aimed at combating social exclusion are offered. In addition to the Nattfotboll programme, the activities include sports activities on weekdays and weekends, social initiatives, and support activities in schools.

In the context of the project, Sandviken IF also organizes empowerment programs for girls centred around physical activities and gender equality discussions, field trips for middle school pupils, and a summer football camp. Moreover, Framsteget offers a football team for people with disabilities.

Through Framsteget, Sandviken IF and official partners like Syntronic hope to contribute to the development of a community characterized by inclusion, strong social bonds, and wellbeing.
