We are seeking an experienced DevOps Developer to support the development and maintenance of build systems, automation, and CI/CD infrastructure for embedded software development. This role combines modern DevOps practices with build engineering expertise to improve developer productivity, streamline software delivery, and ensure reliable, repeatable builds across complex embedded software projects. The ideal candidate has experience designing CI/CD pipelines, developing automation tools, and working with C/C++ build systems in Linux-based development environments.

What you'll do

  • Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines that automate software build, test, validation, and deployment processes.
  • Develop and enhance automation tools that improve developer productivity and software delivery workflows.
  • Configure and maintain build systems for large C/C++ embedded software projects, ensuring fast, reproducible, and reliable builds.
  • Optimize build performance, dependency management, artifact generation, and version control processes.
  • Collaborate with software development teams to improve development workflows, build reliability, and release processes.
  • Support cloud and on-premises development infrastructure used for software builds, testing, and deployment.
  • Implement DevOps best practices for source control, configuration management, code review, and continuous integration.
  • Maintain documentation and contribute to continuous improvements across build, deployment, and automation processes.

What you'll need to get the job done

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Development, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, build engineering, software automation, or software development.
  • Strong Python programming skills, including scripting and automation, along with experience using Bash or another scripting language.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Tekton, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
  • Experience working with Linux/Unix development environments.
  • Familiarity with software development using C/C++, Java, or Go.
  • Strong understanding of source control, branching strategies, build automation, and modern software development practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional engineering teams.

What will make us REALLY love you

  • Experience with build systems such as Bazel, CMake, GNU Make, Maven, Gradle, Ninja, Autotools, Buck, or Ant.
  • Experience supporting embedded software development and large C/C++ codebases.
  • Experience with containerization and cloud technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, GCP, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with Agile development practices, infrastructure automation, and developer tooling.
