Syntronic co-hosts event on tackling electromagnetic interference (EMI)
Syntronic recently had the opportunity to co-host a seminar in Toronto focused on addressing a crucial aspect of modern product development: Managing electromagnetic interference (EMI).
Held in collaboration with SmartTO, a Toronto-based transportation and mobility hub led by York University in partnership with Centennial College and the engineering firm Megalabs, the event was an opportunity for knowledge-sharing.
At the seminar, Amin Rajaei, Markham Site Lead and Director of Engineering at Syntronic in Toronto, provided an overview of Syntronic’s expertise. The focus was on the global engineering desin house’s capacity to deliver innovative and reliable solutions that solve complex engineering challenges.
Complex designs
In a session led by Myron Simich, Senior Electrical Systems Architect at Syntronic, the participants were given the opportunity to explore practical design strategies for printed circuit board (PCB) layout, shielding, grounding, and minimizing EMI. The focus was on how to tackle interference challenges in complex designs. Additionally, Ashwani Malhotra, Vice President of Megalab Group, delivered an session on electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and EMI testing and certification strategies.
Furthermore, the seminar offered hands-on insights into advanced testing methodologies. Moreover, the participants took part in meaningful discussions on strategies for ensuring product reliability and compliance. These sessions provided valuable tools and techniques for managing EMI challenges.
Syntronic extends its gratitude to SmartTO, Megalabs and all attendees for making the gathering a successful knowledge-sharing event.
