Master Thesis Proposal – Intelligent Consultant CV, Candidate Management, and AI Matching

In the consulting industry, time is a crucial factor. The ability to quickly present the right candidate for the right assignment can be the difference between winning and losing a deal. Today, the process is often manual, time-consuming and inconsistent, as CVs vary in style, candidate information is scattered across multiple systems and matching candidates to client needs often relies on personal recollection.

We want to change this by building an intelligent recruitment and matching system that combines:

  • AI-generated consultant CVs in our corporate design
    • CRM functionality for candidate management (pipeline from CV → interview → assignment)
    • Predictive Staffing, an AI-based matching engine that calculates a ‘match score’ between candidate and assignment


Purpose and Benefits

The aim is to develop a prototype that demonstrates how an integrated system can:

  • Automatically generate professional and standardized consultant CVs from existing resumes
    • Centralize candidate management in a user-friendly pipeline
    • Improve the matching process between consultants and assignments with AI and historical data

Proposed Research Questions

  • How can Natural Language Processing (NLP) be used to extract relevant experiences and skills from existing resumes?
    • What techniques are most effective for automatically generating standardized consultant profiles?
    • How can a matching engine be designed to reliably provide a ‘match score’ between candidate and assignment?
    • What balance between rule-based logic and machine learning yields the best results for consultant matching?

Possible Prototype Features

  • CV Generator: Automatic formatting of consultant CVs according to company template
    • CRM Module: Candidate database with pipeline view
    • Matching Engine: Algorithm suggesting candidates with a percentage match to client assignments
    • Visualization: Dashboard to show candidates, assignments, and match scores


For a successful thesis work, we believe that the applicants should have:

  • Master level studies in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or or equivalent
  • Skills in programming (Java or equivalent)
  • Skills in databases and web technologies
  • Curiosity about AI and system development 
  • Good knowledge in both Swedish and English.

To give you the best possible support during your thesis, we’d like you to be able to come to the office connected to the project and spend most of your time working from there.
