About the role
At Syntronic, we design and develop advanced hardware solutions that power tomorrow’s technologies. We are seeking an Optical Transceiver Designer to join our team and take part in developing high-performance optical transceiver technologies. In this role, you will contribute your technical expertise to ensure the quality, functionality, and lifecycle management of optical modules integrated into next-generation platforms.

What you’ll do

  • Lead the evaluation, testing, and qualification of optical transceiver modules.
  • Create and maintain specifications to align product requirements with marketplace standards.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to introduce new pluggable optical solutions and manage their lifecycle.
  • Support cross-functional teams (HW, SW, FPGA, Product Verification, Project Managers) with technical expertise during integration and testing.
  • Provide design support for product changes, field issue investigations, and sales support.
  • Drive resolution of issues through interaction with internal design teams and external suppliers.
  • Contribute to cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement in product performance.
  • What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
  • Solid experience with optical and electrical test methods, equipment, and lab work.
  • Practical knowledge of optical transceiver hardware and test measurements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Nice to have

  • Experience with fiber optic communications.
  • Familiarity with software lab tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python) for simulation and test automation.
  • Industry experience with pluggable optics or related technologies.
