We talked to Jing Ma, System Engineer at Syntronic, about her career journey and what drives her work. In our conversation, she emphasized the importance of curiosity, structured growth, and precision in engineering. With a Master’s degree in Control Engineering from Tianjin University and a background in telecommunications, Jing is well equipped to help advancing Syntronic’s system development projects. She first joined Syntronic as a system developer focused on base station products.
From the start, she established herself as someone who embraces complex technical challenges with focus and determination.
"Staying curious, asking questions, learning from colleagues, and adopting new tools are essential strategies for me,” she says.
Technical growth
Her mindset has shaped how Jing approaches her professional development. Growth, for her, is not left to chance but seen as a structured process she calls “limitless progress.”
This means setting clear goals, reflecting on challenges, incorporating feedback, and executing effectively. Her approach has been tested in high-pressure situations, such as when she led a cross-functional troubleshooting initiative that combined detailed analysis of radio frequency theory with hands-on testing.
Jing also links personal progress with the growth of the wider team. “Every problem is an opportunity to progress. By documenting lessons, the whole team benefits,” she explains.
This philosophy also extends to her views on diversity in engineering. “This industry needs different perspectives,” she says. Precision, she adds, is equally vital.
“A single oversight can lead to major consequences. I focus on thorough documentation, backup plans, and traceable logic. This level of rigor builds trust with clients.”

Her commitment to precision and teamwork is further strengthened by working in an international environment. Collaborating with colleagues from different regions provides not only technical insights but also a broader perspective on how Syntronic’s work connects people and industries worldwide.

Outside the office, Jing finds inspiration through travel. Whether hiking in nature or exploring different cultures, she sees strong parallels between adaptability in travel and adaptability in engineering. “Travel strengthens resilience and creativity, qualities that are equally important in professional contexts,” she says.
Looking to the future, Jing is eager to continue developing her skills and contributing to Syntronic’s success. “There is always more to learn and new challenges to take on. I look forward to growing further, together with the team,” she concludes.
