We talk to Elin Raumer Wåhlén, Configuration Manager at Syntronic, about her career journey, from an early fascination with design and technology to her current role supporting international hardware projects. Elin shares how independence, curiosity, and a passion for working with people have shaped her path.
Elin grew up in northern Sweden and became independent early on. At 15, she moved into her own apartment while attending high school with a focus on technology, form, and design. "I discovered CAD and realized how exciting technology could be. I understood that it’s not something that should be limited by gender," she says.
After working in customer-focused roles and developing her leadership skills, Elin decided to pursue her long-time dream of further education. In 2020, she began studying Industrial Engineering and Management. "I wanted a broad education where every course felt inspiring," she shares. During this time, she balanced her studies with family life and graduated in July 2024.

Global hardware projects
Shortly before graduating, Elin joined Syntronic as a Configuration Manager. Today, she plays a key role in hardware projects across multiple international locations. She is energized by Syntronic’s strong global presence, which allows her to expand her skills and collaborate across borders. "At Syntronic, I get to work in global projects where structure and teamwork come together", she says.
"Being part of international projects is a fantastic opportunity to grow and learn," she says. "Every team has its own way of working and adapting to different approaches has taught me to stay flexible, curious, and open-minded."
Driving progress together
What motivates Elin is collaboration and progress. "I’m the kind of person who likes to take initiative, bring people along, and keep things moving forward," she says. Her next goal is to become a project manager. "I want to keep growing here at Syntronic. I felt from the start that this is a company where development is encouraged," she adds.
For Elin, good leadership is built on trust and support. "It’s about seeing people, lifting them up, and trusting them to do their jobs. That’s something I really appreciate in the leadership here," she says.
Outside of work, Elin is passionate about skiing, a sport she’s been dedicated to since childhood. She also values family time and loves to travel and discover new places. Looking ahead, Elin is excited about the future. "Technology is evolving so quickly, and I look forward to seeing where it takes us. As a future project manager, I hope to be right at the heart of that development," she shares. "And personally, I look forward to more travel, more learning, and continuing to challenge myself."
