We talk to Annika Bodell, Project Manager at Syntronic’s headquarters in Gävle, about her career path and the life lessons that have shaped her leadership approach. From juggling university studies with raising a newborn to driving innovative projects, Annika shares how adaptability, collaboration, and creativity have been the cornerstones of her career journey.
Annika, who grew up in Sandviken, has always been drawn to exploring new opportunities and challenges. "I’ve never been afraid to take a leap into the unknown," she shares. "Throughout my career, I’ve learned that stepping outside of your comfort zone is where the most growth happens.”
Her career journey has been shaped by her curiosity and drive to make a difference. From studying social work in Östersund to earning a master’s degree in Logistics and Innovation at the University of Gävle, Annika’s path has been anything but conventional.
"It wasn’t always easy. I even brought my newborn daughter to my university lectures—but it taught me that with determination, everything is possible,” she recalls.

In her role at Syntronic, Annika is passionate about leveraging her skills to create cohesive and motivated teams. "I believe that project management is about listening, being clear, and fostering an environment where everyone can contribute their best,” she explains.

A creative personality
Outside of work, Annika enjoys exploring her creative side and spending time with her family. She has a passion for cooking – her signature dish is oven-baked pork tenderloin with roasted potatoes – and finds joy in watching her daughter pursue her interests in karate, music, and art.
Looking to the future, Annika dreams of traveling more with her daughter to show her the world while continuing to grow in her project management role at Syntronic. "Life has taught me to be grateful for its twists and turns. It’s in the variety and challenges that I’ve found my strength and creativity,” she shares.
