Syntronic – exjobb – Hero

Syntronic, a global engineering design house, recently hosted its annual thesis summit in Gävle, Sweden. It was an event aimed at strengthening connections between engineering students and professionals across the company.

Held at Syntronic’s Swedish headquarters, the event brought together thesis students from across the country, both on-site and online. Participants joined from universities such as KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Linköping University, the University of Gävle, and Uppsala University. This year, 14 students are completing their thesis projects at Syntronic in Sweden.

“Thesis projects are a great way for engineering students to apply their knowledge in practice and get to know Syntronic and for us to get to know them. Our students write their theses on-site, which creates a natural exchange of ideas and closer collaboration. This can open up opportunities for future collaboration,” says Malin Lundquist, Strategic Competence Leader at Syntronic.

Career paths and real-world insights

This year’s event introduced a new feature: A panel discussion with former thesis students who now work at Syntronic. They shared their personal journeys, reflected on their experiences during their thesis work, and answered questions from this year’s students.

Participants also took part in a guided digital tour of Syntronic’s headquarters. The tour provided a closer look at the company’s labs, technical environments, and the types of global projects and customers that employees collaborate with.

Engaging with young engineers early in their careers is a key part of Syntronic’s long-term talent strategy. In addition to thesis opportunities, Syntronic regularly attends student fairs, hosts study visits and VIP evenings, and collaborates with student associations throughout Sweden.
