Customer: High-performance Server Manufacturer
Project: Blade Server High-Speed Board Joint Design and Manufacture (JDM)

Product Description

Syntronic partnered with a leading global server manufacturer to jointly design and manufacture high-performance blade server boards. The solution was engineered to meet demanding performance requirements for signal integrity and thermal reliability in dense server environments. By integrating advanced PCB design, hardware engineering, and scalable manufacturing capabilities, Syntronic enabled the customer to accelerate innovation and maintain strict quality standards while competing in a fast-moving ICT market.

Scope

As an integrated JDM partner, Syntronic assumed full responsibility for the blade server board project from concept through mass production. The engagement included high-speed PCB design, advanced thermal and signal integrity optimization, EMC/ESD design, DFM/DFT/DFC, and the establishment of scalable manufacturing processes.

Syntronic also implemented rigorous quality control measures such as automated inspection, electrical testing, and burn-in validation to ensure compliance with the customer’s uncompromising standards. Throughout the project, Syntronic engineers worked closely with the customer’s teams to align on requirements, transfer knowledge, and enable smooth decision-making.

Results

The collaboration resulted in the successful delivery of over 10,000 blade server boards that met all performance and quality requirements. The project was completed three weeks ahead of schedule, providing the customer with a significant time-to-market advantage.

Performance benchmarks showed a 15% improvement in signal integrity compared to previous generations, while optimized manufacturing processes reduced production costs by 8%. The scalable infrastructure established during the project positions the customer for future product iterations, while structured knowledge transfer strengthened their internal engineering capabilities.

By outsourcing the project to Syntronic under a JDM model, the customer gained access to specialized expertise, robust supply chain management, and accelerated innovation, reinforcing their leadership in the high-performance server industry.
