R&D

Syntronic has developed an industrial board test system for a prominent manufacturer of electronic equipment. This achievement highlights the global engineering design house’s ongoing dedication to providing efficient quality assurance solutions for manufacturing.

The advanced system is specifically designed to rigorously test customized industrial board products, ensuring compliance with factory standards, and meeting pre-defined technical requirements. Syntronic's Research and Development (R&D) experts, who have in-depth technical knowledge and extensive experience of product analysis, developed the firmware and Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) for this test system.

"Testing circuit board products before they leave the factory is a crucial step".

Circuit boards play a vital role in modern industrial electronic products. As electronic designs grow more intricate, the research, development, and manufacturing processes required to create them become increasingly complex. Testing circuit board products before they leave the factory is a crucial step in ensuring optimal performance and adherence to manufacturing standards.

The Customized Industrial Board Test System

Firmware Modules

The firmware modules serve as the embedded software component of the test system, providing a user-friendly interface for efficient human-computer interaction. Through the serial port, users can issue control commands and receive real-time information about the circuit board's performance, including voltage, current, and temperature.

Syntronic's embedded software team implemented detection, initialization, and data transmission functions within the system's peripheral interface, utilizing the zynq architecture. By leveraging standard protocols, the team configured the internal registers of each peripheral interface chip and initialized them accordingly. Subsequently, the team retrieved the product's status information by reading the internal data register of the chip and presented precise data conversion results to the user.

FPGA Module

To ensure seamless real-time data transmission between the host computer and various peripherals, Syntronic's FPGA R&D team meticulously designed the system's interconnectivity. The team optimized communication interfaces and data transfers within the board, effectively reducing system delays.

The FPGA module utilizes a soft core to manage internal data control, leveraging the FPGA's internal logic for data caching and processing tasks. This approach minimizes the number of clock cycles required for instructions during software operation, resulting in improved system performance and data throughput.

The test system delivered by Syntronic is tailored to the specific product being tested, covering all test requirements defined by the customer. It significantly enhances the customer's testing capabilities, which facilitates the creation of high-quality board products.
