Based in Ottawa, Syntronic can today help customers with engineering pods that comprise over 50 highly experienced wireless engineers organized into mature cross-functional teams (XFTs) that have worked together over extended periods. Each pod consists of 7–8 engineers and operates as a cohesive Agile/Scrum unit with full end-to-end ownership.
For organizations that need strong execution for a defined period, this model offers a smarter alternative to hire-and-fire strategies - reducing delivery risk, shortening time to value, and providing sustained execution velocity from day one.
Optimized for speed, quality, and autonomy, each XFT takes full end-to-end ownership, including:
- Pre-study & systemization
- Architecture & design
- Embedded software development
- Component, integration & end-to-end testing
- Integration into mainline and release delivery
These teams have a proven track record delivering:
- Mission-critical, real-time applications running in live operator networks
- Features tied directly to customer SLAs and penalty exposure
- End-to-end solution packages delivered under rigorous quality gates
- Live customer system ownership, including work supporting Tier-1 operators
In addition, our teams have experience in:
- Developing and deploying rapid prototypes (3-4 week timelines)
- Running those prototypes directly on live or near-live systems
- Supporting on-network troubleshooting and stabilization under tight timelines and high visibility
Each XFT operates with minimal supervision, adapts quickly to customer processes, and is accustomed to delivering in high-pressure operational environments. Core strengths include:
- Deep embedded systems and platform software expertise
- Strong wireless / 3GPP background across multiple generations (including 5G NR)
- Extensive Layer 2 protocol and systems experience
- Robust test, verification, and field-issue triage capability
- Exposure to virtualized and cloud-native network environments, including containerized components and platform integration
