Development of a Compact MIMO Antenna with Enhanced Port Isolation through Comparative Analysis of Isolation Techniques
Background:
MIMO technology is an integral part of modern wireless communication systems, enhancing data throughput and reliability by utilizing multiple antennas for both transmission and reception. However, achieving sufficient port-to-port isolation is essential to mitigate interference and enhance system performance. This thesis proposal aims to design a compact MIMO antenna system and explore different isolation techniques to attain improved isolation between the antenna ports.
An overview of the thesis work could be:
- Design a Compact MIMO Antenna: Develop a compact MIMO antenna system with specified frequency bands and desired radiation characteristics.
- Investigate Isolation Techniques: Research and implement various isolation techniques, including physical, electrical, and signal processing methods, to reduce interference and enhance port-to-port isolation.
- Evaluate Isolation Performance: Analyze and compare the effectiveness of the implemented isolation techniques in achieving the desired port-to-port isolation.
- Optimize Antenna Performance: Fine-tune the antenna design parameters to achieve optimal performance in terms of port-to-port isolation, radiation efficiency, and bandwidth.
