What we’re looking for
· 3rd or 4th year students in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related engineering program.
· Students interested in hardware or software design
· Students returning to school full-time at the completion of this co-op placement
What you'll do
Develop and maintain user interfaces for web applications using Ember.js framework.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers and backend developers, to deliver high-quality and scalable frontend solutions.
Implement responsive design and ensure compatibility across various browsers and devices.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in JavaScript and TypeScript.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve the development process.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve frontend issues to ensure optimal performance and user experience.
Bonus: Possess UI/UX designing skills with experience in Figma.
What you'll need to get the job done
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Web Frontend Developer.
Minimum of 2 years of project experience in Ember.js.
Proven experience with Ember.js framework in a production environment.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
Solid understanding of web technologies, HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles.
Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating frontend with backend services.
Familiarity with build tools and package managers such as npm or Yarn.
Ability to work collaboratively in an Agile development environment.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
A strong portfolio demonstrating previous work and projects with Ember.js.
What will make us REALLY love you
Experience with other modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular, etc.).
Knowledge of backend technologies and server-side languages.
Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
Experience with automated testing frameworks.
