What you’ll do

  • You will be an integral contributor to a team responsible for 5G NR Radio Unit Software development. You will be responsible to:
  • Create software architecture for base and platform SW that interfaces with upper layer application software.
  • Contribute to all stages of software development process starting from design, through implementation and test to integration and deployment of 5G NR Remote Radio Unit Software running on high-end integrated FPGA SoC.
  • Drive selection of tools and methodologies as well as their introduction to the project.
  • Take active part in the hardware / software integration of the Radio Unit, as well as system integration between radio unit (RU) and distribution unit (DU)
  • What you need to get the job done

  • Expert C and python coding skills with minimum of 10+ year of experience
  • Experience throughout the full software development lifecycle, from conception, architecture definition, detailed design, scoping, planning, implementation, testing to documentation, delivery and maintenance
  • 8+ years of Linux Kernel software development experience
  • Knowledge in Linux Kernel, device driver, boot process, bash shell scripting
  • Experience building thread-safe software in Linux environment. Understanding of synchronization and IPC.
  • Experience in multiprocessor system on a chip (ARM Cortex-A53, a graphics processing unit (GPU) and a high-end FPGA, i.e. MPSoC)
  • Experience in integrating third-party software IP
  • Experience in creating and debugging unit tests
  • Expert knowledge in writing thread-safe code
  • Working knowledge in U-boot, Git, Yocto and build root
  • Knowledge of memory - NOR, NAND, SRAM, DRAM, AMBA, EMI, AXI, etc.
  • Knowledge of basic protocols - I2C, SPI, Quad-SPI and UART
  • Knowledge in MACsec (IEEE 802.1AE)
  • Effective team player, willingness to help build a collaborative and trusting community
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing and operations
  • Excellent written and oral communication skill.

  • Previous experience developing software for RU/RRH products
  • Experience in cellular radio technologies, i.e. 4G, LTE, 5G, NR
  • Familiarity with 3GPP standards
  • Understanding O-RAN architecture and its practical application
