What you will do

  • Lead the engineering development of new and complex products. Be responsible to plan, monitor, and coordinate the technical execution portion of a development project.
  • Lead one or more of the functional disciplines (i.e. embedded software, digital hardware, mechanical, systems design, etc.) on a complex project throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Plan, monitor, and control software requirements, implementation, and testing for internal and external customer deliverables
  • Coordinate communication, issues, and tasks between software functional groups and customers - both internal and external
  • Execute software development milestone and related processes.
  • You will be responsible to:

  • Create the engineering plans for product development programs
  • Coordinate the establishment of detailed validation plans for new programs and ensures product meets customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate regular technical project launch meetings with the cross functional engineering teams and documents status with detailed notes
  • Ensure customer and internal requirements are documented, planned, implemented, and tested
  • Responsible for communication and escalation of key issues affecting: cost, quality, timing, resources, risk, technical trade-offs, etc. to management
  • Manage engineering scope changes
  • Meet key internal and customer milestone dates
  • Attend and support program meetings
  • Lead multi-discipline project team meetings (Scrums and Release Planning)
  • Participate in software and hardware technical reviews
  • Perform and manage the relevant tasks of internal development processes to meet SPICE (where required)
  • Develop and manage the completion of customer documentation for software deliverables
  • Pull and maintain software component part numbers
  • Verification and approval of Prototype builds
  • Verification and approval of First Part Approvals
  • General process development compliance
  • What you need to get the job done

  • Four-year degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
  • At least 5 years of experience in a software environment
  • High level of organizational and administration skills and attention to detail
  • Skills in communication, project scheduling, and management of software
  • Demonstrate ability to lead multiple complex projects
  • Experience with mature software development processes
  • Maintain high level of honesty, integrity, and confidentiality with respect to company matters.
  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures, safety regulations, company safety policies and safely perform all duties, including but not limited to, promoting a safe workplace
  • Willing to be a team player, dependable, self-motivated, problem solver, and customer oriented
  • Willing to follow company guidelines and maintain confidentiality, honesty, and integrity
  • High level of communication and interpersonal skills

  • Experience working in automotive industry
  • Familiarity and practical experience applying with ASPICE methodology
  • Self-organized and driven to help the team get organized and be more effective
  • Experience in Business Analysis techniques for eliciting client requirements
  • Contributing business and end user perspective to the project team
  • PMP or CSM certification
  • Making the client’s and the team’s success your own success
  • A friendly willingness to collaborate and play nice with others
  • A passion for project-based work and staying on top of your technical game
  • Drive and willingness to explore and master areas outside of your expertise
