What you’ll do:
We are looking to fill an RF Integration and Verification System developer position. The chosen candidate will be involved in the activities pertaining to RF Hardware integration and developing verification systems for new multi-standard radio hardware at the physical layer. You will be responsible to:
Be an integral contributor to a team responsible for the functional and performance validation of Hardware and Software components of new multi-standard radio products.
Optimize the performance of integrated radio products to meet specified 3GPP industry standards and internal system requirements
Analyzing new product designs and corresponding performance requirements
Define test coverage scope and plan required for integration of radio unit HW and SW
Identify new equipment and software required to perform integration and verification activities
Prepare lab environment including both HW (test equipment) and test automation software scripts (python, Matlab, C#, LabVIEW)
Develop all necessary calibration and performance optimization procedures
Implement test and validation methods for optimal integration coverage
Perform required functional and performance verification of radio products
Analyze results in conjunction with Hardware, Software, and Systems engineering teams to identify and root cause product issues
Produce documentation as per radio integration and verification processes
Drive continuous improvements of processes and product quality
Mentor/coach more junior members within the Systems or broader RF development team
What you'll need to get the job done:
Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience working directly in the development of radio products (systemization, hardware design, integration, or test).
Proven experience with RF test and basic lab instruments including spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, power meters, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies
Good problem solving and trouble-shooting capacity
Proven experience creating RF lab verification test setups for radio product integration and verification
Proven ability to develop and maintain scripts and software (python, Matlab, C#, LabVIEW) for automating lab instruments and radio products for hardware integration and verification
Solid understanding of basic communications and wireless systems theory and technology
Strong knowledge of 3GPP specifications, especially in the area of Radio performance characteristics
Solid knowledge of radio standards (2G, 3G, WCDMA, LTE, WiFi, 5G)
Recent experience with RF hardware design and Integration
An initiative, good team player, and able to work independently in a fast-paced development environment.
