What you’ll do

  • Design and develop creative and robust embedded solutions to complex engineering problems
  • Own and deliver end to end embedded solutions, from inception into production, and communicate them with management and other stakeholders on a regular basis
  • Design and implement robust firmware for various embedded devices and platforms. This includes debugging and testing on component and system level to deliver production-grade firmware
  • Contribute to system design by collaborating with hardware and software architects as well as firmware engineers
  • Manage risks by continuously identifying them and planning for mitigation during design
  • What you need to get the job done

  • 5+ years of professional experience in programming languages C and C++, and at least one modern language such as Python, Java, or C#, including object-oriented design
  • Hands-on experience with embedded system development such as embedded Linux, Yocto and familiarity with test equipment
  • Experience with electronics schematics, bootloaders, device drives, and their communication protocols, as well as HW interfaces (SPI, I2C, USB, PCIe)
  • Ability to solve complex problems methodically and creatively
  • Excellent communication skills (written and spoken)

  • Knowledge of software engineering practices and software development life cycle. This includes coding standards, code reviews, source control, and change management, build process, testing, and operations
  • Experience designing secure IoT firmware for embedded Microcontrollers (ARM, PIC, etc.) in a production environment
  • Good grasp of networking concepts (Eth, TCP/IP, application-level protocols)
  • Experience with wireless communications (BT, Wi-Fi, 5G/LTE)
  • Experience designing control loops and familiarity with control theory (PID), data filtering, fusion algorithms
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and agile work environment
  • Experience with mentoring other engineers
  • A fast learner who seeks to continuously self-improve
  • A great team player with a service mindset and a natural drive to “go beyond”
