What you'll do
As an Electrical Project Engineer, your main responsibilities will include design, development, test or supervision of the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems for commercial, industrial, military or scientific use.
Lead and coordinate day-to-day execution of the multi-disciplinary project team, in support of the Program Manager, to meet technical, schedule requirements and budget constraints.
Apply and organize assigned resources to execute the work scope on Electrical, Optical, and/or Avionics work packages. Ensure shortages or conflicts are identified to the Program Manager.
Ensure ongoing project team coordination and communication, especially across disciplines, to ensure full buy-in to project objectives. Work to resolve any issues and ensure team buy-in.
Coordinate intra-project activities with key support resources, including Electrical Systems Lead, Technical Leads, Back End resources (e.g. Ops Coordinator, Shipping, Manufacturing, Buyers).
What you’ll need to get the job done
Applying candidates with a minimum of 7 years of Project Engineering experience is preferred
Experience in MS Project is required
Candidates with experience in Electrical Engineering is an asset
PMI/PMP certification is an asset
Experience in Electrical CAD tools such as ORCAD, Altium, AutoCAD Electrical, MATLAB, and PSpice Simulators is an asset.
Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
