What you'll do
As an Electrical Cable Harness Designer, your main responsibilities will be to prepare cable harness designs for space and terrestrial applications.
Prepare cable harness designs for space and terrestrial applications
Design cable mechanisms for rotary interfaces
Perform cable routing and 3D modelling
Experience with environmental testing and designing cables according to TVAC, thermal, EMC, & vibration design considerations
Prepare System Level Power, Grounding and Bonding Architectures
Develop production, assembly and parts list drawings
Good understanding of cable design analysis such as Signal Integrity, Voltage Drop, Cross-talk, Cable Bundling, bend radius & EMC.
Understanding of FMEA, SEE Criticality Analysis, Cumulative Dose, Radiation Effects Mitigation, & Charging
Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical
Understand the client’s requirements
Provide technical support to manufacturing and assembly teams
What you’ll need to get the job done
Knowledge of geometrical tolerancing, drawing standards
Knowledge of space sector
Experience with NX/Teamcenter, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, MS Visio
Interested candidates with a Bachelor degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Engineering or Physics/Applied Mathematics or Engineering Science is an asset. Candidates with a Technologist diploma may also apply.
The candidate must have demonstrated the ability to work in a team environment.
